Why America isn't a TRUE democracy!

FIRST OFF, IF YOU DON'T PLAN ON READING THIS WHOLE ARTICLE IT WON'T MAKE SENSE.

"Education is more valuable than any amount of gold"

As I eat a Tuna Sandwich this article was masterfully written.

It brings me GREAT pleasure to bring you guys this article, so here it is!

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN:
During the early years of the country we decided to become a REPUBLIC. Republicanism is a form of government of elected officials voting for the people. This is when the governmental system was made, another form of distracting democracy from our government.

Some say that the Early-Mid 1800's was when the ideologies of Republicans and Democrats were formed; it wasn't. The Federalist of the time wanted there to be elected officials and a Senate. On the other end of the spectrum was the anti-federalists that wanted a sovereign system of one vote=one vote. The Federalist Papers were obviously signed into the constitution and so was the birth of Republicanism in America, and the death of Democracy in America...

If I had Republican Senators for my state, which I do, I don't think they are representing me. They are representing their party, not the people. Trust me, I'm sure all you conservatives would be just as upset if a Socialist was the Senator. The government should be ruled by the people, not the 2 dudes that my state voted.

Years on we had continued struggles of the Electoral College. In the 1850's(REMEMBER, this is BEFORE the Civil War) the Southern Democrats and the Republicans disagreed on how the colonies were represented. The South wanted slaved to count towards the population so they could have more elected officials. Now, I don't agree with this because the slaves weren't allowed to vote,  but if they were allowed I'd support them. The Republican states didn't want the slaves to count because they wanted to have control of the Senate and Electoral College. Republicans OBVIOUSLY won which added to later conflicts leading to the Civil War.

Let's look at what a democracy is:
Democracy means a government "by the people." That means not by a few people in a circle that is control and bribed by corporate structures. Hell, most of the Presidents in the last 30 years have been business men, not lawyers, but business men.

For example: Ronald Reagen was backed by some of the biggest companies and stock brokers today. It was purely a plan to get a puppet into office, and who better than an Actor? I'll be honest, Presidential Elections are popularity contests. Barack Obama was voted by black people half of because he's black. If Arnold Schwarzenegger ran for president, he would DEFINITELY win.

How is our system today a true democracy? Simple answer: it isn't a true democracy. Thank baby jesus that I have freedom of speech. Otherwise, this site wouldn't exist.

Alright Christian, stop complaining. Tell how we COULD be a democracy!!

Well, simple: Popular Sovereignty.

Tomorrow I will surely post an article on Popular Sovereignty.

Make sure to vote on the blog's poll. You're on the political section of the blog! You should be voting!
